Chapter One: Introduction
1.1 Background of the Study
Digital ticketing systems have revolutionized event accessibility, offering convenience, security, and efficiency to both organizers and attendees. These systems enable ticket purchases, event registration, and access management through online platforms, eliminating the need for physical tickets. In Lafia Local Government Area, Nasarawa State, the adoption of digital ticketing for events such as concerts, conferences, and festivals is gaining momentum. The ease of access provided by digital platforms has the potential to increase attendance, streamline event operations, and enhance user satisfaction. However, challenges such as internet connectivity, digital literacy, and trust in online payment systems persist, affecting the widespread adoption of digital ticketing (Abdullahi & Yusuf, 2023). This study investigates the effectiveness of digital ticketing systems in enhancing event accessibility in Lafia LGA.
